HIRO AMA LETTER FROM LAHORE

Teleman drummer Hiro Ama has been making his own electronic productions for a while now, but with time away from touring, he's had time to really focus on his creations. This year, he's already released singles 'Alive', a collab with SPARKLING, and from his forthcoming debut solo EP Uncertainty, the transient track 'Broken Satellite', and now, 'Letter From Lahore'. The pan-Asian melodies and propulsive tempo of Letter from Lahore was written as a reminder of an incredible four-month round-the-world trip he took on dropping out of school at 17 - “I didn't want to forget this incredible trip and this quarantine makes me want to travel somewhere far, so I made this song”. You can hear the excitement and wonder of teenage curiosity in the rising filter of the synth that eventually bursts with optimistic opportunism, enhanced with effervescent layers and monotonous electronic rhythms. Uncertainty is out on PRAH Recordings on limited edition orange vinyl on 4th September. -Ellie Rose-Davies
